Jarvis Cocker reading Richard Brautigan.

Jarvis Cocker

Do you remember back in 2006 when Jarvis Cocker from Pulp had a MySpace and recorded a series of “Jarvcasts,” which were podcasts of him reading short stories in a tone that can only be described as mellifluous? I thought I had lost them forever but a recent Macbook Pro crisis precipitated an intense reexamination of my iTunes and its contents. I found my favourite Jarvcast.

It is Jarvis Cocker reading ‘Times Square in Montana’ from The Tokyo-Montana Express by Richard Brautigan.

  1. Cool, what a nice thing to find! It was Richard Brautigan’s birthday on Monday. He’s one of my favourites. Thanks for sharing!
